Can the country where a drug is supplied/shipped be different from the country that the drug is manufactured?
Yes, in many cases it can be. Not all drugs sold in U.S. and Canadian pharmacies are manufactured in the U.S. or Canada. For example, many generics sold by American and Canadian pharmacies may be sourced from India, the European Union, or elsewhere. Even for many brand-name drugs with American or European manufacturers, the drug itself may be manufactured outside of the USA or Europe for various reasons.
Please note that although some drugs may be manufactured outside North America, they contain the same active ingredients, are therapeutically equivalent, and are just as safe as those manufactured locally.
